Athens is significantly less expensive than London, Paris, Zurich or the Scandinavian capitals, and broadly comparable with Madrid, Lisbon or Prague. The gap with northern Europe is substantial — often half — and reflects general cost of living rather than any difference in standard.
Legal framework
Greece permits sex work between consenting adults with a licensing regime for premises, which places it closer to Germany and the Netherlands than to France or Sweden, where purchasing is criminalised. Britain sits somewhere between, with the act legal but most surrounding activity not.
