How to Read a Profile Gallery Before You Book
Most booking disappointments trace back to a gallery that was read too quickly. A photo set carries a great deal of information if you look at it properly, and doing so takes about ninety seconds.
Consistency across the set
The strongest signal of authenticity is the same person appearing in genuinely different circumstances — different rooms, different light, different clothes, different days. Recycled sets tend to come from a single shoot and share the same background, styling and lighting throughout.
Look at fixed details: tattoos, piercings, moles, the shape of hands. These do not change between shoots, and inconsistency in them is conclusive.
Editing
Some retouching is normal and expected. What should concern you is editing heavy enough to alter proportions or smooth features into something generic. Over-edited images are often over-edited precisely to make the source harder to identify.
The single-image listing
One image, heavily processed, with no supporting set, tells you nothing. It is the most common form of fake listing and the easiest to spot.
Photographs that are too professional
Counterintuitively, an entirely studio-quality set can be a warning rather than a reassurance. Genuine galleries usually mix good photographs with casual ones. A set that looks like a fashion editorial throughout is worth reverse-searching.
What good agencies do
Established agencies date their galleries and refresh them. If a listing has shown the same set for two years, the images are old regardless of whether they are genuine, and the person you meet may reasonably look different.
Just ask
The simplest check of all: ask the agency when the photographs were taken and whether they are current. A professional operator answers in one line. Evasion on that question tells you what you need to know without any further investigation.
