Working With an Agency in Greece: What to Expect

What a legitimate agency provides
Screening of clients, a booking pipeline so you are not doing your own marketing, a degree of physical safety through knowing who is expected where, and support if a booking goes wrong. Those are the genuine benefits and they are substantial.
In exchange the agency takes a percentage. That is the trade, and it is a reasonable one if the screening and support are real.
Warning signs
Any of the following should end the conversation immediately: pressure to start before you are ready, refusal to explain how payment works, holding your documents, arranging accommodation that ties you to them, discouraging you from talking to anyone outside, or vagueness about whether you can decline a booking.
You can always decline
A legitimate agency accepts that you refuse specific bookings, specific clients, or specific activities without explanation. An operation that treats refusal as a problem is not an agency, and that is the clearest line there is.
Questions worth asking
How long have they operated. How is payment handled and when. What screening is done on clients. What happens if you feel unsafe during a booking. Can you set your own limits and schedule. The answers, and the willingness to give them, tell you most of what you need.
Legal and financial
Sex work between consenting adults is not illegal in Greece, though the licensing framework is narrow. Income is taxable like any other. Anyone working here should understand their own position rather than relying on an agency's characterisation of it.
Safety practices
Tell someone where you are going. Keep a check-in arrangement. Trust your instinct at the door — leaving is always available and no fee is worth overriding it.
If you are being coerced
Coercion and trafficking are serious crimes in Greece and the protections exist regardless of your immigration status or how you entered the work. Support organisations operate confidentially. If someone else controls your money, documents or movement, that is not employment.
